Abra Viagra was first conceived while Ricki & Stephen were working on the MV Symphony in 1999 for Starlight Cruises and MSC Cruises. The initial result was a late night show called "The Rude Review" and starred Stephen as Dockyard Doris and Ricki as Mavis Mingewater.  The show was a hit and as a result Stephen & Ricki decided to rename the show Abra Viagra, expand the programme to include magic and illusions and then put the show on tour. After a few local previews, the show toured the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and even Zimbabwe visiting Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.
